Let’s talk about kink! The first question is, what is kink? Kink is the exploration into sex, what you enjoy and experiment with. I am not a sex therapist or sex expert; I am someone who has always been intrigued with sex. I am here to share my experiences of exploring sex and kink. A little about me: I am a single woman in her late thirties with a successful career and a love for adventure and sex. I was raised in a conservative religious household that promoted abstinence as the best form of birth control and that you should always wait for marriage. Due to this upbringing, I always thought my interest in sex was wrong or shameful. Being interested in sexual exploration was something I felt drawn to, but I felt embarrassed or shameful due to my religious upbringing. What I learned over the years and through meeting partners is sexual exploration and kink are part of the way to express yourself.
After years of dating, self-exploration, and being open with myself, I was able to start experiencing sex in a different way! This different way leads to passionate, exciting, empowering sex! I could not believe sex could be that good! I started to make a sex bucket list and find a partner or partners to help fulfill the list. I have experienced things I have never thought possible, developed more in-depth trusting relationships, and, most importantly, more confidence about my body, my sexual needs, and myself.
When exploring kink, it is not all about sex with another person or person but also the exploration of yourself and sexual enjoyment. Through exploration of kink, there are so many options, from toys, lingerie, bondage, clubs, impact play, and public play, and on this blog, we will talk about everything: my own experiences plus my exploring. Through exploring, I have also discovered books, podcasts, and other blogs that are great resources that I will share.
